Fairbanks Breaks v
Production Records
Usually stories laden with statis-
tics are boresome rather than enter-
taining or instructive. s However in
the case of "Douglas Fairbanks in
Robin Hcod" a United ArtistsU?
lease coming to the Lyric Theater
next Wednesday an exception can
be noted due to. the unbelievable
speed with which this gigant'c pro-
duction was "shot1 was due to the
remarkable organization with which
Mr. Fairbanks surrounded himself.
He put at the head of each depart-
ment the most thoroughly comretent
man obtainable regardless o! price.
And at the head of the whole direc-
torial force he placed Allan Dwan
reputed to lie the most thorough and
swiftest director of productions of
the Robin Hood magnitude. n the
picture industry. With Mr. Fairbanks'
own dynamic energy behind this or-
ganization to give it impetus there
was never a dull moment from the
time the lrst camera started to the
final fadeout.
