in the residence partof the city. The
thirty barrels' contained about 1800
quarts. valued at $54000. This is said
to be one ot the largest liquor raids
in Texas. The -whiskey is .said to have
been shipped to Wichita1 Falls from
Vancouver British Columbia.

off to the shipment which is s'.iid to
be only a small part of the quantity
which crossed the Canadian bonier

to draft legislation for presentation to
Congress designed to drive the specu-
lators out of the cotton market. The
