WITH ME
rMlO HAVE people come in and compliment
me on the quality- of merchandise I sell.
the One-Price way of selling it and the remark
able low price prevailing on every article. But
yesterday I had an experience out of the ordinary.
A lady stepped into the store and priced
some Lace; after carefully looking through she
bought a large quantity of NJLace Embroidery
and other goods and remaned that she had
been in e;rerv store in town and our.prices were
"SO MUCH LOWER" thatbehought she
had better lay in a supply befpra we found out
the difference in prices .and marked up our
ooods to correspond whrprices quoted by other
stores.
It was thpnncst compliment I ever re-
: ceived. anda appreciate it doubly because -it was -
given after delib2rate inspection and comparison.
j Come see and price the beautiful
Laces we are selling; also Dress
Goods etc. and get a ticket for
j $1 Dishes we are giving: a way.
j The clock stopped at 12-1-59 Mrs. S. A Fisher held
i. the lucky number 12-1-58 and was given the dishes. Next
; Wednesdiy at 2 o'clock we give away another set.

Nelson's body was pjaced in a cof
fin and caried to a darkened room.
Scwartz was brought in and forced
to take a chair at the head of the cof
fin gazing down into the dead man's
face. Mrs. Nelson widowed only a
few days and nervous almost- to a
point of collapse was placed on a
chair on the opposite side with the
glassy eyes of her husband staring .up
at her. For hours they were kept
there bythe sidevof the dead man but
no confession came.
Te climax of this application of the
third degree came when Schwartz
was acquitted a few days ago by the
order of the trial judges who declar
ed that the state had no evidence for.
a case against him. An innocent man
Jsind woman had been subjected to the
mental tortures of the 'Inquisition.
These are but isolated cases pf the
third degree work. Thcror is no jail
