COTTON BUYERS BUSY.
Local cotton buyers declare that
business in their line is rushing this
week the various small buyers over
this section of the state being anxious
to sell their holdings in spite of a
decline in the market. The lots of
cotton range from three or four hun-
dred bales to five hundred bales and
on much of this cotton the first buy-
ers will lose money the market hav-
( ing dropped considerably since their
purchases were made. Tax rendering
. time however is coming and the
buyers want to sell despite the loss
j The 'tanks own the greater part of the
I cotton but the buyers will have to
pay taxes it is understood for the
full value of the cotton whether they
' really own it or not hence their anx-i
iety to avoid inflated tax renditions
i Buying on the streets has practically
1 stopped in Browirwood.
