City, County, School Elections
Set for May 7
City, Dallas County, and Gar-
land and Wylie Independent
School District elections will be
held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Satur-
day, May 7.
The City election polling place
will be at City Hall.
The Fire Station will not be
used for voting this year.
Precincts 2202 and 2203 of
Dallas County and 25 and 56 of
Collin County will vote on City
Council members and amend-
ments to the City Charter in the
city election.
Absentee voting for all juris-
dictions will be held Tuesday, May
3, at City Hall during normal
operating hours.
The Dallas County election on
pari-mutuel gambling and jail
revenue bonds will take place for
Precinct 2202 at City Hall,
Sachse, and for Precinct 2203 at
Park Lake Baptist Church, 3702
Sachse Rd.
Absentee voting will take place
at: Dallas County Community
College District Bldg., 701 Elm
St., Dallas; DISD Bldg., 3700
Ross, Dallas; Richardson Inde-
pendent School District, 400 S.
Greenville, Richardson; Garland
City Hall, 200 N. Fifth St., Gar-
land; and the Records Bldg., 500
Main, Dallas. Absentee voting on
Saturday will be only at the
Records Bldg.
Those voting from 2202 and
2203 in the GISD school board
election may vote at City Hall,
Sachse. Absentee voting is set at
GISD, 720 Stadium Dr., Garland.
Wyle Independent School Dis-
trict's precincts 25 and 26 may
vote at First United Methodist
Church Fellowship Hall, 109 W.
Jefferson, Wylie. Absentee voting
will be at the WISD Bldg., 951 S.
Ballard.
Eldon Gordon, election judge
for Dallas County Precinct 2203,
supplied The Sentinel with the
election information. He may be

Wayne Snipes is the judge for
2202. Betty Acrea will serve as
election judge for the city elec-
tion; and Blanche Foster for the
GISD. The Wylie judge's name
was unavailable.

A two-car injury accident Friday afternoon at Fifth St. and Hwy. 78
slowed traffic and resulted in one person being taken to Garland
Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Both parties insisted that the traffic ]
