Real Estate investment Wise, Says Local Builder
There are many questions
being asked these days about
investing in real estate.
Sharron Willis of Centennial
Homes, Wylie, says: "A new
home is definitely a good
investment."
She goes on to explain: "It's
definitely a buyer's market for
the home and the commercial
market. The two generally go
hand in hand. Just look at
some of the companies that
have entered our area - J. C.
Penney's, GTE, Fujitsu - to
name a few. The big guys saw
this market as a window of
opportunity. *
Willis points out that the
same holds true for the new
home buyer. "Timing is
Erase Budget
Guesswork!
Farmers Electric Cooperative, Inc.,
is now offering budget billing to
qualifying members.
It's a simple method of having
monthly electric bills of the same
amount during the year. No more
ups and downs from season to
season. . .and no more guesswork
in knowing how much to budget
for next month's bill.
At Farmers Electric Cooperative,
some things change just to stay
the same.

critical in everyone's decision.
Investing in a new home
couldn't be better. The latest
figures show that nine out of
10 families have at least 80
percent of their net worth in
the equity of their homes."
Renters will never buiid
equity, Willis said, adding:
"Home owners are investing
money every month and
watching their equity grow.
And a new home is generally
expected to earn more of a
return than an older used
home.
"The first five years of a
new home most often show
the greatest appreciation for
a family. The main reason for
this is maintenance is lower
on a new home.
"The latest in energy
saving features plus aii the
state- of- the- art technology
are built into the new heme."
The Centennial spokesman
concluded: "Home buyers
should be prepared c pay
significantly more for the
money they borrow to finance
that new home in '89. And
that means a higher monthly
payment if the buyer decides
to put off making that
decision before the rates start
their climb."
