Where the Sky Ends
By Angela Hill
Where the sky ends
The wind doesn't blow
The stars don't twinkle,
The birds don't crow.
There is no light,
There is darkness
everywhere,
Night is eternal,
Day is never there.
The sky is empty,
No planes flying by,
No butterflies
or mosquitos,
There is not a
cloud in the sky.
The horizon's not colored
With a bright golden sun,
As you probably guessed,
Where the sky ends,
is no fun.
(Angela Hill, daughter of
Paul and Patsy Hill, Sachse, is
a sixth grader at Webb Middle
School, Garland. Her poem
placed second in city-wide
competition.)
