For Sept. 15 Festivities

The Summer Reading Program,
Gentlemen, start your en-
gines! Rrrrmmm! Rrrrmmm!
The rumble of engines in
the riding lawnmower races
are just some of the new
sounds that will echo
throughout the fifth annual
Falifest Country Fair Sept. 15.
More sounds -- from the car-

craftsmen, twins contest, fan-

geant and other fun events --
will highlight the extravagan-

"Some 15,000 came to Fali-
fest last year, so for 1990
we'll have even a greater va-
riety of events. The lawnmow-
er races is one of the new
additions that's attracting a
lot of attention," notes Kay
Snipes, president of the Fali-
fest Association, sponsor* of
the event.
The Falifest Country Fair
will be held 10am. - 7p.m. at
Sachse's Salmon Park on Wil-
liford Road, just off State
Highway f8 (Lavon Highway).
The free Falifest Good Times
Dance is from 7:30 - 11 p.m.
"With an entirely new lay-
out," continued Snipes, "we
have something for everyone:
arts and crafts, stage per-
formers, flea market row, cow
