"OUR WEEKLY CHURCH CHAT"
"What la Baptism?" Part IV.
In Acts 8:36-39 we studied the
case of Philip and the eunoch and
have circumstantial evidence that
when Phillip baptized the eunoch,
that he lmmerced him. We have
learned that in baptism, water Is
used, that both the preacher and
the candidate <;ces down into the
water, and comes up out of the
water. But we want to be convin-
ced beyond even the show of doubt
because knowing that baptism Is
for remission of sins, we want to
be sure that we are really bap-
tized.
In Acts 9:18; 16:15, 33; 18:8, we
learn that all who came into the
church under the preaching of the
apostles, had to first submit to
the ordinance of baptism. In the
case of Cornelius and his house-
hold, those who were baptized had
previously spoken with tongues and
magnified God. In the case of
Lydia and her household, those
who were baptized were eld en-
ough to believe, and be comforted
by the words of the apostles. In
the case of the jailor and his
household, all who were baptized
were old enough to believe and
rejoice. This substantiates our un-
derstanding that no cne is eligible
for baptism who is not old enough
to believe and repent.
Next we read. Acts 19:1-5. John's
baptism was administered on con-
dition of repentance looking for-
ward to the remission of sins,
John's baptism could not have

DEMOCRAT; Nov. 27th.
This NIGGER was not trying to
inflate money at all. He was just
trying to steal from the Govern-

not know what "Money Inflation

thereof". Now if Congress decided
to do the thing the Constitution

of the student body gave way the
secret last Monday. No studying
was done. Some faces were rather
tired looking, but I assure you it
was not a result of their poring
over their studies and burning the
midnight oil in order to place
some knowledge about Shakespere,
areas of pyramids, prisms, con-
