ferent kinds of trees each with
a different October dress would
make any artist want to paint.
With our talents we can only
wish to take a picture when
many times the roads will not
permit a stop.
One thing we learned for cer-
tain today was that when the
highway department of the state
of Arkansas says the next 1R
miles are steep and crooked they
mean just that. Of course there
are super highways through the
state but we chose one not so
well travelled in the hones of
better scenery. Our rewards wej-e
well worth the bnmns.
Near Bnoneville we saw some
of the most wonderful grazing*
country. Much of the range was
once old wornout fields or land
with brush or poor grass. Science
in agriculture has found better
grasses and with fertilizer added
to the shallow soil we see won-
derful results.
The farm population seems to
be a changing one. Many farms
are for sale. In these changing
times there were those who look-
ed at the beauty and bought
hoping for too much from too
little. They became discouraged
and want to sell. Amid these
failures stand many homes and
barns that have every marking
of success.

the hair line in tow.
Dress before "putting on a
face?" Wear a cape over dress
or suit so you don't have to
streak dark suits or dresses with
powder and hair.
Want your eyes to sparkle? An
eye cream put on during nap or
night time is soothing and helps
prevent dryness around the eyes.
Go West, young man, go West—•
The foliage is said to be best;
But there's also a feast,
If you take a trip East,
In the fall when the trees take
their rest.

the Boston Mountains. As we
approach the main Ozarks the
