YV i t h weather permifctiiig,
Monday, June 5th i> a daj set for
the purpose of Lipscomb lodge
of 1.0.0 F to meet at JShahan &
' Sod's store for the purpose of
cleaning the cemetery. It is ex-
pected a good attendance will
sh .w up in order to arrange the
cemetery for Memorial day.
Through the courtesy of H. A
-' Hill, of Sand Creek, the editor
and family had the pleasure of
enjoying an afternoon in the
oountiy. Well; did it seem like
a change on the "bill of fare? '
Did we reliaji the cool and re-
freshing breezes as they serenly
yeat slipping by the "hazel
growth'' which decorated the
"upper deck" of our "noodle?"
Does a duck swim? We should
remark yes. The whole family
tore around and acted up with
'that same glee that the iron gfay
does after being captivated in the
stall for some time. Yes, it was
a frolic much enjoyed by all and
the dinner spread when that hour
arrived Was something which ap-
pealed to the cravings of the in-
ner man with a goodness that was
superb in flavor and unique in
variety while an abundance-of de-
licate dishes decorated the table
on the side. After the feast the
greater part of the afternooon was
spent in choir praptice, sight see .
inp and refreshfng ones mind
with the "scenes of long ago.-'
One of the most pleasant after-
noons spent in the Panhandle
wer passed while at the home of
these good people on Sand Creek
Sunday.
