Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Long
went to Higgins Tuesday evening.
Mr. J.ong left for Kansas City
to attend to business matters in
that city, Mrs. Long returniug
home later in the evening.
A large number of land-owners
who reside south of Higgins, are
anxious to leave the railrw d
build through their section to
Fort Worth and in conversation
with our solictor promised to

Mr. Swan, who owns Jand ten
miles north of Lipscomb, but who
resides in Califoruia. was in fltg
gins Monday, tie is one of our
best railroad boosters. He feels
sure that the people of Lipscomb
county will respond readily to tue
proposition.
Rev. J. E Westbrook, of Pam-
pa, nroached an able serino, at
the Union church Inst Sunday
morning and evening. A good
attendance of the Christian
faith were present to appreciate

by this talented talker.
