Mr. and Mrs. G. Brown and
Dr. W. F. Markley accompanied
by his daughter, Marjorie, were
visiting friends In the Logan,
neighborhood last Sunday.
Mrs. Neola Farrell, of near
Clearlake, had the misfortune last
Sunday of getting her arm brok-
en, both bones were broke.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brown and
family, of near Overstreet, were
called to the bedside of Mr.
Brown's sister, at Sapula, Okla-
homa. They returned home last
Sunday.
Miss Helen May, age t7 of Bea-
ver, Oklahoma, met with a fatal
accident last Thursday evening.

Upon instructions embraced in
a resolution passed by the Texas
Relief Commission July 27, 1934,
notice is hereby given to the effect
that persons physically able to
work who are offered employment
at the prevailing wage scale in
the locality wherein the work to
to be performed,, and who refuses
to accept without good cause,
shall not be furnished relief.
The followering Instructions are
Issued to all citizens of Upscomb
County, to-wit:
Any person or persons offering

relief rolls or not, will inform the
local county relief board Chair-
