LADIES AID MEETING
The Ladies Aid met on Thurs-
day for an all day meeting with
Mrs. J. H. Carter. The day was
spent quilting. A covered dish
dinner was served at noon. Those
present were: Mesdames, Frank

Mrs. C. A. Lourwood has been
under the doctor's care the past
week. She has been suffering
with an infected eye
Mrs. Bill Johnson of Lipscomb
visited with her sister. Mrs. Ed
McVicker and hsr mother. Mrs
Martha Baggerly on Monday.
The Darrouzett School boys are

They are working hard and want
pot as many games as possible

"Terracing on my farm paid
for itself the first year in in-
creased yields", said G. T. Col-
grave, a farmer living in Carson
County, seven miles north of
White Deer, Texas.
Mr. Colgrave did his terrace
line running and constructed
level terraces on 170 acres of his
farm a year a«o. This field last
year produced enough more
hegari and cane than his unter-
raced land to pay for his total
terracing costs. In addition to
the increase in yields due to mo-

The Darrouzett Girl Scouts held
a meeting Thursday after school.
FRESHMAN CLASS PARTY j
The Freshman had a class
party which was given Saturday
night at the home of Mrs. D. R.
Rush. The evening was spent in
playing games. Those present
were: G. A. Jenkins, Daisy Pain-
ter, Jesse Galyen, Rachel Littau,
Eugene Clark, Richard Rush,
Bernice Foster, and Mrs. M. E.
Cleavinger. Refreshments of
sandwiches and cookies were ser -
ved to those present.
JUNIOR CLASS PARTY
The Junior class gave a April
Fol' Backward Party at the home
of Rachel Littau Wenesday
night. Everyone was requested
to come in the back door and
wear their clothes backward.
Those present were: Jack Kind,
Daie Shryock, Allen Dally, Wil-
ma Lash, Erma Hennigh, Rachel
Littau, Opal Lourwood, Miss Lois
McCaslln, and Naomi Rush. He-
freshments of sandwiches and
cookies were served. Everyone
had an enjoyable evening.
