Thursday, A delicious dinner was
served. Bridge was played. Mr.
Ira and Minnie B. Bellfield were
pleasant visitors to Mrs. Agnes
Lewis and family Sunday. Mrs.
Sunday School at Shiloh Baptist
Church of which Rev. F. D. Dervin
is pastor, opened at 9:30 a. m. with
a well prepared lesson. The lesson
was reviewed by Mrs. Sims. In the
afternoon, the Women's Home
V ionary Society rendered a nice
program. Prof. G. D. Stevens and
Mrs. A. P. Stevens motored to Ft
Worth to spend the week end. Sun-
day, April 7, is pastoral day. The
pastor and members are looking
forward to the installation and the
mock convention to be held with
Shiloh Baptist Church on the "rd
Sunday waa a high day at First
Baptist, beginning with the church
school which was full of enthu-
siasm. At 11:00 a. m. Pastor Thorn,
as delivered a wonderful sermon.
B. T. S. at 5:30 with the president
in charge. 8:00 p. m. service was
highly enjoyed by an immerse
crowd. Rev. Thomas preached out
of his soul. Rev.s Davis and Wil-
son of San Antonio were preset.
The rally closed Sunday night.
Sunday School on time at the M.
Sunday School at Mt Pilgrim
opened on time. All officers were
present and service ran high all
day. The revival, which was be-
ing conducted by the pastors of San
Antonio, Galveston, Houston, Bra-
zoria, and Corpus, ended Sunday

Bethlehem. Mrs. Volma Hender-
son of Jones Chapel is the ener-
getic president of the Foreign Mis-
sionary Society. She presided Sun-
day night. Carpenters have begun
work on the Jones Chapel paraon-
sge. On Saturday night this church
will stage a big picnic with the
sister church at Pettus.
Mrs. M. C. Hampton is much im-
proved at this writing. She is the
daughter of Mrs. Mary Canada.

No. 1 of Lee's Chapel A. M. E.
Church, which mat at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. S. Hester. Mrs.
Martha Lockett entertained Queen
Esther Mission Circle at her home
on Beaver Stfeet Miss Nettle
Johnson entertained with a taa last
Monday night at the home of Mr,
and Mrs. J. D. Hurston. Tueaday
night a dance was given at Lock-
ett's Hall, with Mose McClain fur-
nishing the music.
The A. M. E. Usher Board met
Wednesday night in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Edison Shely, with
Mrs. Geo. Chandler as host. After
short business meeting, a deli-
cious repast was served and tho
guests spent everal hour socializ-
ing. A literary program was ren-
dered by the ..Mt. Zion Christian
Service Club which was enjoyed by
all present. After the program,
refreshments were served. Mrs. Ma-
rie Smith gave a cakc hunt which
was won by Mr. Kelly M. Reed.
The hunt waa given at the home
of Mrs. I. E. Warren. A kiddie
party was given at the school Fri-
day night with a fine attendance

Service at all churches were well
attended Sunday. A Missionary
program was rendered at Lee's
Chapel A. M. E. Church with Rev.
W. M. Anderson of Pucah deliver-
ing the sermon. A Missionary pro-
gram was also rendered at night at
several other churches.
Funeral aervicea for Mr. Parker
Moore, of Coleman, were held at
Coleman cemetery with Holman
Funeral Home in charge, last Mon-
day afternoon. Mmes. Helen Mur-
ray, Onita Bocknite and Mrs. Sa-
rah Robinson are on the sick list,
but are resting better at thia time.
