sacrifice of an artistic exterior. Built of
variegated or common brick, whitewashed
with a roof of stained shingles or slate, it
presents an unusually attractive and com-
pact appearance. The portico is archeo
and roofed, and has a red brick floor. The
nIiutters of solid, weathered boards give
an interesting departure from the usun'
New England type.
A number of features provide for ex-
ceptional comfort and convenience. The

there are small children and noisy boys in the

The living room has an open fireplace

of Booker. It is" up to" us north
side folks in Lipscomb County to
to get busy and put our part of
the road in such condition as to
be acceptable to our State Com-
mission. We can do it. We are
entitled to better highway facili
ties than we now have. It will
be necessary for our people from
time to make contributions to the
improvement and maintenance
of the road. We can reasonable
expect our due proportion of the
country road funds. The two
grade crossings east of Follett are
to be eliminated The big hills
between Follett and Darrouzett
are to be avoided, and the road
between Darrouzett and Booker
will be shortened Every Citizen
of the north-side towns should j
speedily lineup with the move-j
ment and begin to "kick-in" J
some cash for the betterment of
this town-to-town road. Would
it not be a good plan to put this
highway enterprise into our busi-
ness budget* and set aside a sum
create a fund from private sour-
ces which when supplemented by
proper allotment from county
funds will be sufficient to pay a
couple of men for steady work
upon the Follett end of the high-
way. Friday (tomorrow) at 2
o'clock the Lipscomb county
representatives will meat at Darr
ouzett again to hear reports of
committee on re-location, etc.
Make arrangements to be there.
Give your active support to a
movement that means a good
deal to our town and community.
