poem, "Ten Cents Per Pack-
age of Seed," were read.
Other officers Installed were:
Emma Ruth Mlze, first vice
president; Dorothy Snodgrass,
second vice president; Sib
Hlgglnbotham, third vice pres-
ident; Velma Ruth Wood,
secretary; Veva Wallace,
treasurer; and Georgia Stark,
historian.
Eighteen members answered
roll call. Ethel Ogle was a
visitor.
— Mrs. Jiolsom Hash entertain-
ed with musical seiecilon8 on
the piano.
Connie Allen was presented a
gift for services to the club as
president for three years.
Refreshments were served
from the dining table by
Bartlett, Sib Higginbotham,
and Veva Wallace. Mrs. Dunn,
co-hostess, was unable to be
present

remember" was a comment
expressed as members
disbanded for the summer.

Select Date For Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hardy of McAdoo
announce the forthcoming marriage of their
daughter, Susan DIAnne Hardy, to Timmy
Darwyn Havens, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Havens of Route One, Crosbyton.
The couple will exchange marriage vows
at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1, in Crosbyton
First Baptist Church.

Tressie Griffin Feted
With Bridal Shower
The home of Mrs. Compton
Cornelius, 416 South Jeffer-
son, was the site Saturday for
a bridal courtesy compliment-
ing Miss Tressie Griffin. The
honoree is the bride-elect of
Mark Odom.
As guests called from 2 until
4 p.m., they were offered
finger sandwiches, thumbprint
cookies, yellow punch and
coffee.
A white linen cloth edged
with white lace covered the
serving table. A spring bou-
quet in a silver compote
centered the table and was
grac'ed by three-branch
candles on either side. Silver
and crystal appointments were
utilized.
Special guests were Mrs.
Frances Griffin, step-mother
of the bride-elect; her grand-
mother, Mrs. Maudie McMil-
lan of Lubbock; Mrs. Bill
Odom Jr., mother of the
future bridegroom, and his
grandmothers, Mrs. Olen
Miller and Mrs. W. C. Odom,
all of Crosbyton; {he honoree's
sisters, Mrs. Jerry Watson of
Level land, Mrs. Ray Powers of
Dallas, and Mrs. Mike Gowens
of Crosbyton; and aunts of the
prospective bridegroom, Mrs.
Joe Hargrove of Crosbyton
and Mrs. James Swift of
Plainview.
Hostess gift was cookware.
Hostess duties were shared
