Tractor Pull Draws 91 Entries
Competition was as tioi as the weather as
Crosbyton's '.'best ever" tractor pull
unreeled at the Crosbyton Rodeo Arena,
Saturday and Sunday. Ninety-one entries
vied for prize money In the 11 classes, two
of which were designed Sunday at the
request of pullers.
The event was a Class A pull for the first
time. Crosbyton CJaycees sponsor the
tractor pull.
Participants came from Oklahoma, New
Mexico, Kansas and Arkansas, as well as
Texas. Competition was "particularly
keen," with three tractors bearing Allison
aircraft engines going in the 15,000 pound
pro stock class.
Results of the various daises, according
to Layton Koch:
Singing School To Begin Sunday
Sunday following the evening
worship service. Monday
through Friday, the agenda
calls for the school to continue
from 3 until 4:30 and from 8
until 9:30 dally.
Loyd Hall, minister of the
church, extends an Invitation
to "everyone in the commun-
ity to participate." He says
that "this will be a time of
good gospel singing "

At Senior Citizens Center

"Yard of the Week" honors. The sign
designating the honor Is to remain In
the Nlckson yard until Monday when
another residence Is selected
Lunch is now being served
three days per week at the
Crosbyton Senior Citizens
Center The meals are Mon-
day, Wednesday, and Friday,
when weekly meeting also are
held
All senior citizens are wel-
come to have lunch at the
center on these days.

Rev. and Mrs. Brock Sanders
and family are on vacation this
week In Alabama. He Is the
new McAdoo Baptist Church
pastor. They will be visiting
former McAdoo Church
pastors and their families,
Rev. and Mrs. Bobby Myers
and Rev. and Mrs. Rodney
Brown.
We are glad to report that
Charlie Harris was able to
come home Monday from the
hospital In Lubbock where he
had surgery on blocked art-
eries In his neck.

Howard Hickman to Lubbock
Monday where Charlie had a
checkup then they visited with
the Allen's daughter and her
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Orvln
Callihan in their new home.

Carmen of Ft. Worth visited
here last weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L.
Dennis. Carmen remained
until Thursday when they all
went to Big Spring and were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
Dennis, John and Bruce.
