Douglas MacArthur High School, San AntonioON SEPTEMBER 13, 1923, John C. Dielmann
died. The funeral, which was held on the
seventeenth of September at St. Joseph's
Catholic Church, overflowed with people
paying their last respects. The eulogy, deliv-
ered by Bishop Arthur Drossaerts, praised
Dielmann's efforts to organize the laity to helppriests perform their difficult tasks. The
procession which escorted the body to St. Jo-
seph's Cemetery "was one of the largest that
has been witnessed here [San Antonio] in a
long time."
Born on October 8, 1849, in the city of
Hellenhahn, in the province of Hessen-Nas-The John C. Dielmann Family. Pictured left to right in the front row are:
