Forget! ng Sarah Marshall (R
Starring: Jason Segel, Kristen Bell,
Mila Kunis, Russell Brand, Bill Hader
Jason Segel ("Freaks and Geeks, "How I Met Your Mother") wrote and stars in
"Forgetting Sarah Marshall," a wild, laugh-out-loud comedy. Segel plays Peter, your
average-Joe type who is dating a beautiful television star named, you guessed it,,.
Sarah Marshall. After an extremely embarrassing break-up, Peter decides to go to
Hawaii for a vacation. He is there for only a few minutes when he notices Sarah is
there as well, with her new boyfriend.

Segel:
s "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" based on experiences in your life?
There are many (Sarah Marshalls) in my life. There have been ten
years of hapless dating and breakups. My relationships usually end
with me getting dumped and some woman driving off in a car wildly
relieved to be free.
The scene in which you get dumped is quite funny. What gave you
the idea for such a revealing scene?
got dumped once while naked, hence that scene. A woman I was
dating called me from the airport and said she needed to see me. I
thought it would be cute to be naked when she arrived. She walked
though the door.,, and this break-up begins. I was trying to pay
attention to what she was saying, but all I think was how hilarious it
was. I cannot wait until she leaves so I can write all this down.
Once Sarah breaks up with Peter, she starts dating a handsome rock
star named Aldous. Why a rock star?
had this idea for a script, of this guy running into his ex-girlfriend
who is with someone that he thinks is more attractive than himself.
You showed great creativity in writing the script, but the songs are
simply ingenious.
The most fun I had writing music for Sarah Marshall was writing
Aldous' songs, writing "Inside You" and "We've Got To Do
Something." I wrote them alone in my hotel room at 2 or 3 in the
morning. It was cool for me.
Greensheet: Besides being a heart-stricken romantic, Peter is also a creative type.
His dreams of producing a Dracula musical were hilarious and my
favorite part of the movie. Are there any similarities to your life?
Segel: The Dracula song was written years ago when I was out of work. I
honestly thought I was going to jumpstart my career by writing a
lavish Dracula musical. I was writing it with no sense of irony. I
played my first version of the song for Judd Apatow. He started
laughing. I got really hurt. He said, "Why are you so upset?" I told
him that it wasn't supposed to be funny. He said, "Don't play this for
anyone, ever. Trust me."
"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" opens in theatres on Friday, April 18 nationwide,
foung @ Heart PGj Grade: A+
Starring: Bob Cilman, Young@Heart
In North Hampton Massachusetts, there is a group of seniors that spend their free
time learning and performing songs by James Brown, Sonic Youth and Coldplay,
Their names; Young @ Heart, This chorus was formed in 1982, and first performed
one year later. While the members have changed over the years, their mission hasn't.
The chorus has not only entertained audiences around the U.S. and the world, it has
given life and friendship to its elderly members. Led by Bob Cilman, the members
range in age from 72 to 88.
The documentary "Young @ Heart" chronicles the group's recent rehearsal and
follows them as they learn songs for their next performance. Along the way come
tears, joy and renewed friendship. The group of seniors that star in the film are
genuinely charming. You will love every one of them. Being a work of non-fiction,
"Young @ Heart," the movie and the group take you along through life's ups and
downs. You will laugh hysterically when the group tries to learn the song "Yes We
Can Can," which features no less than 71 "cans," and when a member of the group
mixes up "good" and "nice" in the famous James Brown song, You will probably also
shed a tear when Coldplay's "Fix You" is performed. "Young @ Heart" is one of the
best documentaries I've seen and will take you through every emotion. A must see!
Take the whole family.
"Young at Heart" opens in select theatres on Friday, April 18.
