Cadets Get O.K.in
Annuallnspection
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — Prin-
cipal W. R. Banks and Command-
ant Roby V. Ililliard have Just
received the report of the annual
inspection of the cadet corps of
Prairie View State College, mad#
by Colonel Theodore K. Spencer,
Eighth Corps Area, Fort Sam
Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
In his report, Colonel Spencer
gave the cadets a rating of gen-
eral satisfaction, stating that
things were in good shape. The
equipment was well kept, and,
considering the fact that the hoys
furnish their own uniforms, they
are very well uniformed. The
drilling was quite satisfactory also,
he said.
Speaking of the interest mani-
fested, Colonel Spencer said the
interest in military training as
displayed by faculty and students
of the institution was very com-
mendable.
The cadet corps consist of three
hundred and fifty two students in-
cluding the band of forty-eight
pieces. The cadets are divided
into four companies under the
general command of Roby W. Ilil-
liard and Assistant Vernon Punch,
one major, seven captains, aud
eight lieutenants.
