Cancer sucks
FRIDAY
Just like a tattoo
Between noon and 5 p.m. drop
by the Rice Memorial Center
Grand Hall and the Ray Court-
yard to receive a henna tattoo
from the South Asian Society.
The tattoos range from $3 for a
simple design to $5 for a full-
palm design. The proceeds
go to Daya, an organization
which aids victims of domestic
violence in the South Asian com-
munity of Houston. For more in-

Hankerin' for some crawfish?
The fourth-annual crawfish
boil, hosted by the Ecology and
Evolutionary Biology and Earth
Science Departments, is to-
day. The boiling will be from at
4-6 p.m. in the courtyard be-
tween Keith-Weiss Geology &
Anderson Biology Labs. There
will be crawfish, potatoes, corn,
soft drinks and music.
Do a little dance on the catwalk
Go to Willy's Pub tonight at
7:30 p.m. for a shiny, fabulous
drag show put on by Rice Univer-
sity's Queers & Allies. The show
features Rice students as well
as professional drag kings and
queens. There is no admission
fee, but donations will be col-
lected at the door. All proceeds
go to HATCH, a nonprofit orga-
nization designed to empower
gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans-
gender and questioning adoles-
cents in the Houston community
{www.hatchyouth.org).
Tonight is the start of Re-
lay for Life. The kick-off is at
7:30 p.m. at the Track/Soc-
cer Stadium and it lasts until
7:30 a.m. tomorrow morn-
ing. There are several different
events throughout the night,
so come and go as you please.
Donations will be accepted.
It will be a great time to cel-
ebrate the lives of people who
have battled cancer, remem-
ber loved ones and fight back
against the disease.
It was just so beautiful!
This year will be the second-
annual showing of My First
Time, a series of anonymous
monologues about people's first
sexual experiences. The show
starts at 8 p.m. in Herring Hall
100 and features eight differ-
ent actors in a 90-minute pro-
duction. Admission is free and
there will be a fun, interactive
part for all audience members at
7:30 p.m. The show runs
tomorrow at 8 p.m. as well.
Mikado opens
The Rice Light Opera Society
(RLOS) performs Gilbert and
Sullivan's The Mikado tonight
at 8:30 p.m. The show runs to-
day and tomorrow, as well as
Wednesday-Friday of next week.
All shows start at 8:30 p.m.
except for the Thursday's show
which will start at 10 p.m. All
performances are in the Brown
College Commons. Tickets are
$10 for general admission and
$5 for Rice students and
children under 12 years of age.

Rock this way
Sid Rich College Theatre performs
Rock 'N' Roll, a play by Tom Stop-
pard, tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the
Sid Rich Big Room. Admission is
$5 with performances today and
tomorrow as well as Thursday-
Saturday next week. The play fea
tures music from various artists
such as Pink Floyd, The Rolling
Stones, U2 and The Beach Boys.
showdown starts at 7:35 p.m. at
the Toyota Center, so you can
take the light rail to Bell and walk
from there. If you are one of the
first 60 people to buy a ticket,
you will have the opportunity to
play broomball on the ice follow-
ing the game. Tickets are $13 and

Music on the lawn
Today from noon until 9 p.m.
KTRU will put on their I9th-Annu-
al Outdoor Show, which features
seven local bands in the Central
Quad between Herring Hall
and the Rice Memorial Center.
The show is free, but there will
be a collection for the Hous-
ton Food Bank, so any canned
good donations are greatly ap-
preciated. There will be free
Saint Arnold's beer for those
of age.
Bollywood is back
For quality entertainment and
food tonight, check out the South
Asian Society at their spring show
Rangeela. Doors open at 5 p.m.
and the show starts at 5:30 p.m.
in Hamman Hall. Features to
look for include Bollywood
music, Bharatnatyam danc-
ing, and bright Desi costumes.
Dinner is served after the show
at 7:30 p.m. in the Duncan Col-
lege Commons. Tickets cost
$6 for Rice students and
$8 for general admission. You
can purchase tickets at the
door or buy them from one of
the many SAS college reps.
