KERRVILLE—Behind the three-
hit pitching of Hubert McCoy and
Frank Wnlser, the Kerrville All Stars
walloped Ilelotrs 14-1 at Peterson's
pasture, Sundny, July 23. The Stars
took adrantage of six bases on bnlls,
five in a row, along with two hits,
to score aeven times in the first in-
ning and were never in danger.
McCoy, who has been playing pro
ball in Pochatello, Idaho, was just
too much for Helotes. He had trou-
ble with just one man, Bobbie Brown,
who got all three of Helotes* hits.
Frank Walzer relieved McCoy in
the eighth, and tossed two innings of
hitless ball. The only run for Helotes
was scored when Walter, then play-
ing left field, contacted bull nettle
as he was fielding Brown's second
single, with a runner scoring from
second on the delayed pickup.
The Starg made only seven hits,
but five were for extra bases.
