Iredell.
So we may say of thi* dear life- "God touched her with His fin-
ger and .she slept," but not until a beautiful life was lived, a noble
example of patience, fidelity to truth and faith were given. Not
until visions of a heavenly life, in Jesus Christ had cheered and illum-
inated the valley of the shadow, being a faithful member of the
Church of Christ.
She was a woman of -tronjr christian character, patient, loving
and self-sacrificing. In her stead is left a holy and beautiful mem-
ory. So it ever is, when a life is nobly and divinely lived. The

after a short illness.
The body was brought here Saturday to the hone ■!' hei I "i ;
friend, Mrs. E. J. l'arker, and funeral services w.-r. held Sunday
afternoon at Fairy by Bro. J. ('. White of Hico and 1!-" Mekal!|
of Clifton, and interment made in the Fairy cemetery. A large con-
course of sorrowing friends and relatives were present to vi.-w tlv
last sad rites of one they loved.
The Jordan family are well known here, having resided h re for
numbers of years, but moved to Albany a few years ago.
Besides her husband and father, four children are left to mourn
her loss, namely: Verna Mao, Mar> Tom, Hob and liuford, the latter
of Amarillo. She also leaves three .sisters: Mrs. N .1 Ford of I)a!-
