DEDICATED TO "PREP L. L. S
He was a bloomin' prep,
When into our midst he step't.
And, if the truth must be con-
fes't,
He's somewhat prepy yet.
But (thanks tofaithfur'Crip!")
He's freshened up a bit,
Since from his initial trip
On the cars this burg he hit,
A comely youth was Lowe,
With sun burned face aglow,
Hi3 flowing locks like cotton
twine.
(Now he wears 'em a la porcu-
pine)
And strange the tales he told.
Before he went to Coronal,
Fierce Brindy, Buck and Ball
Subdued to meekly bear the
yoke,
And gallantly when he spoke
Respond to every "Gee" or
"Ha,"
(Now he sings: "Do, re, me,
fa.")
His hearty voice and pleasant
face
Found straightway a place
In Dobie's widowed life,
And shortly he became a " wife,"
A happy pain! I know
No other school can show
Another to 'een compare
With thi3 well-assorted pair.
"Morning, noon and night"
In unison and with might
They "ache," and "ache"
And forevermore they'll "ache."

FEBRUARY "MAG" A GOOD ONE.
(Continued from page 1)
The two best poems are, "Our
Mission," and, "The Beauty
Divine." There is nothing
sophomoric about either, and
the moral element is well sustain-
ed, but not sentimental.
To our mind an excellent pre-
cedent has been set by the begin-
ning of the serial story, "Who
Was She?" by A. L. A. A. L.
A. is an accomplished story-
teller, and his latest product
promises at least to be interest-
ing. There is but one thing to
prevent the editors from running
serial stories, and that is some-
body to write them. If you have
in your mind the nucleus of a
short story, expand it,
"For Honor's Sake" deals
with a college problem in plain
terms. The three deportments
which remain in the Magazine
are full of material and well
written.
Altogether this issue is a very
satisfactory one.

We often drink to hair or eyes
That charm with magic wand,
And sometimes, too,
We drink to "you"—
Of these men are too fond
II.
My toast may cause you some
surprise
For surely it is rare
A man is found
To stand his ground
And forsake eyes and hair.
... ...... IIL ;
At church the women solemnise
The rites with sacred mien
And quite forget
That for a hat
The preacher can't be seen.
IV.
A thousand hats of every size
And hats of every hue—
But would you think
That they could link
Ten hats 'in every pen?
V.
My toast is this: that all men rise
And drink a glass with me
To those who come
And leave at home
Such awful millin'ry.
