Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Parson
Burns of Pauls Valley, Okla., have
announced Hie engagement and ap-
proaching marriage of their daugh
ter, Betty, to Mr. Chauncey Mar-
shall Den.smore, eon of Mr. and
Mrs. George Ellis Densmore of
firookline, Mass.
The prospective bride was grad-
uated from Hockaday Junior Col-
Icjf? i liallas, and Wellesley Col-
lage. Mr. t)ensmore is an alumus
of the Berkshire School, Sheffield,
Mass., Clark's School, Hanover, X.
It., and the tTniversity of Wiscon-
sin. During the war he served
three and a half years in the
Beulhwest Pacific with the Army
Transportation Corps.
The wedding will t;ike place No.
vember 20 in Paul- Vallev.

sented at the Tuesday afternoon
meetiing of the Methodist Woman's
Society of Christian Service held
in the Episcopal church.

A garden supper at the home
of Mrs. Jno. F. Sedwick Friday
evening opened the Albany Study
Club's sixteenth club year.
Club colors, yellow and white,
were featured in decorations. Ar-
rangements of white petunias and
snow on the mountain centered tlie
tables laid with yellow place mats.
Mrs. B. E. Richie, club president,
presided and welcomed guests.
The resignation of Mrs. John Tarl-
ton was accepted. Two new mem-
bers, Mrs. W. M. Emmons and Mrs.
William Henry Green, were elect-
ed to membership in the club, and
the year books were distributed by
Mrs. C. E. Hill, chairman of the
year book committee. Other mem-
bers of the committee are Mrs. C.
M. Reese and Mrs. 11. W. Wallace.
