It is real hot here now. When
we first got here it wa cold :.nd

thought he would he home next
month and 1 sure hope lie make

We had ice today at dinner, real
ice in tea. It sure was good and
the first we have seen since Oahu.
We are supposed to get cot pretty
oon and there is a picture show
tonight so we are really g"tting
civilized again.
I've got my sword all polished
up and greased like a new dollar.
The Navy offered me so much I
nearly parted with it but decided
not to. I've got it in a waterproof
cover and am going to send it
home. You probably won't like it,
as it is pretty wicked looking.
We haven't Had any mail for the
last few days as they I' i«-e been
moving the post office or some
thing so we are all sweating the
mad out today. 1 had a letter
from my dtiver. He can walk now
and expect , to be Itark with us
shortly. I sure hope so a the
guy 1 have driving now n't much
and AI was one of the lie t we

as I am and thinks he ha to look
after me more or less.
Well, I hope you are all fine. I
have lost a little weight but ex-
pect to gain that back pi11 . a little
more as I am now mess officer.
. . , This is a real summer dav.
We are all about to melt down. It
wire is a shame that you . in't ran

We are till taking it

around for a change. . . .
It sure look funny to -ee every
body running around with a
clean shave and clean rlothe for

we picked up and it work very
well Their equipment very
practical, a lot more o than our
However, they don't have nearly
as much or as good a quality a we
do in most lines of equipment
Well, it's about time to eat so I
had better go get ready We are
Hupposed to have an extra tpecial
meal today as the colonel is eating
with us.
Hope you are all fine. The clip-
ping you sent about my tank i not
quite correct in every detail but
it's near enough to give the right
Impression. I'll have -o many
tales to tell when I iret bark I'll
have to talk for month.
