Stopped several weeks awaiting workmen . . .
and now the church hopes to carry on the work
to completion.
The church has all its finished m.ll work

•Iways the little matter of building funds, and
tha committee it asking for and aecapting dona-

OIL DEVELOPMENT continues in Shackel-

of drilling is bringing many people to town,
soma of whom can't find places to live. Satur-
day two coisplas ware in the News office look-

was going to drill 10 walls.
This development is bringing much wealth to
lha county ... to oil companies, employees,
lo land owners, business men; to the school and
county. Oil is worth untold millions to this sec-
lion, and we are of Ihe opinion thai develop-

DT. PRODUCTION
Helow i a bit of wisdom picked up from a pam-
phlet colled "Folk*":
Guido f'or.-onl, who run.- a little dairy farm down
the road, drove up th I morning in a new delivery
truck. .
"How you like her'.'" tie asked my Henry, proudly.
"She's a beauty, Guido!" I'a said, walking all
around the truck, admiring it properly.
"She'-a cost! me two thousand dollar!" Guido an-
nounced impressively, adding, "You know, Hank,
lhat many dollar buy quite some few heifer I'ooty
-oon they produce. Theesa truck, though, she only
deproduce." , _
I'a says he has never heard a better -ynonym for
"depreciate."

The importance of uch a cam

accident's are now the leading

children 5 to !• years old, the death
rate from accidents was '2f>.7 per

20.K and that for rheumatic fever
