Fun Begins When
Wedding Ends
'Prosperity," Nf* DrwiUr-Msrsn
Comedy, Start* Off with
Fight at Altar
Most motion pictures end with
a Kidding—but Murie Dressier,
aided and abetted by Polly Moran,
reverse the usual order and start
in with a wedding in "Prosperity,"
opining Sunday at the Artec
Theatre.
That is, they get everything
ready for a wedding—-and then
there's an hilarious fight which
puts the kibosh on the ceremony
and sends the bride and groom
scuttling away to the mayor's of-
fice to be married in peace and
quiet in a nice noisy city hall,
i "Prosperity" shows the popular
comediennes a* mothers-in-law
who try to regulate the lives of
their married children and battle
vigorously between themselves in
thi process. The locale is a small
town and the hilarious complica-
tion- come fast and furious in the
at1111n of the comedy romancc.

The versatile Miss Dressier also 1
contributes some exceptional char-

in which she plans the stirring sac-
rifice that precipitates a touching
denouement to the riot of laughs.

In From Fort Griffin
J. D. Overton was down from
Ft. Griffin this week, doing busi-
ness with our merchants. J. D.
lives out there on the Clear Fork
of the Brazos, and has lived there
for forty years. He is having some
trouble with his eyes. Hunt up a
good eye specialist and have them
treated, Jim. That's what we did,
and now our eyes are much im-
proved.
