Negroes have gone to work in NEW JOBS
under Connally, than under all the governors
in the history of Texas! Connally has employed
more Negroes than ALL governors in 117 years.

Jn addition to the appointments to the various boards, Gov. Connally has seen
that Negroes be employed on equal basis with other Texans, according to quali-
fications. NEGROES HAVE GONE TO WORK FOR THE FIRST TIME AS:
* Nurse Technicians * Laboratory Technicians * Nurses * Nurses Aides
* Food Service Workers * Barbers * Parole Officers * Board of Par-
dons and Paroles * Clerks * Typists * X-Ray Technicians * Pharma-
cists.
Over 300 Negroes have gone to work in NEW JOBS that were previously
open to non-Negroes only. These jobs are above janitorial and laborer
capacitic J
# ^ Over 700 jobs as cooks, truck drivers, and other laboring classes.
Over one million dollars a year to ov\r 300 NEW JOBS created by Connally

the old folk. They know how important this is).
