on April 7 from Zion Hill
Baptist Church with the Rev.
R. Collins, pastor/officiating.
Interment was in Zion Hill
Cemetery No. 2. Family
members are three nieces, one
nephew and a host of other
relatives and friends.

Samuel Redix, Sr. was held
on April 7 from New Hope
Baptist Church with Alfred
Norman Johnson, minister/
officiating. Interment was in
Zion Hill Cemetery No. 2,
Family members are his wife,
three daughters, two sons,
eleven grandchildren, one
great grandchild and a host of
other relatives and friends.
On Wednesday. April 4, The
Guadalupe District Associat-
ion convened at the J. D.
Kern pie CChapel Guadalupe
College Campus, Seguin,
Texas. Theme, "An Unchang-
ing Christ In A Changing
World."
Among the delegates offi-
cers and preachers from
across Texas points were pre-
sent. There were some from
Kerrvillc in the person of Mrs.
C. D. Posey who stopped by
to visit on her evening break
along with two other ladies in
the home of Mrs. Mable
Allen, who was delighted to
see Sis. Posey. Glad you stop
by, come again soon a ad visit.
B/C, San Antonio, the daugh-
ter of Mrs. Cordelia Bratcher.
The message was a materful
and inspiring. Other guest
appearing on the format from
out of the city were: Mrs.
Annie L. Walker, San Anto-
io. Mrs. Virginia Ferryman,
Austin, and daughter Sammie
Brown.
The 3 p.m. hlur featured the
women of the church and
other ladies from varous
other churches as program
participants. Rev. Phillip*
Brown, Sr, artd congregation
from Star of Zion B/C, Robs-
town, Texas was the distin-
guished guest for the after-
noon. Sermon, "And The
Women Carried On." from
the text about the stone
beign rolled away from the
sepulcher.
The women's chorus was
beautifully attired in white
dresses and blue corsages.
Mrs. Lillian Warren, Chairper-
son and Mrs. Geneva Dimery.
Co-Chairperson. A partial fin-
ancial amount was given as
over S3,000,00 for the day.

Sunday services were carried
out as usual, in the absence of
pastor. Rev. J. Brendonly
Douglas, who along with Mrs.
Erma Burley attended a
workshop in Abilene over the
weekend. The speaker for the
morning service was Mrs.
BiHie Hardee. The members
of Barnett Chapel supported
Woman's Day Services at Mt.
Olive with good attendance.

Annual Woman's Day Ser-
vices at Mount Olive Baptist
Church was observed on Sun-
day. April 8 with spiritually
and financially beneficial ser-
vices. Climaxing with a bap-
tismal service
The theme for the occasion.
"The Missionary Woman's
Life of Love," and the pro-
gram started with the Sunday
Scholl hour with Mrs. Flowu
Clay in charge. For the 11 00
a,m. hoar, the program was
beautifully highlighted by the
Woman's Chorus Procession:
"Walking In The Light of
Jesus' Love." with the guest
pianist. Mrs. Lillian McNeil of
San Antonio, Various ladies
of the church appeared on
the program in various capa-
cities. The pastoi. Rev. Tsui
Archield read the scripture
