chose Mesquite as their head-
quarters because it is central-
ly located as to his territory.
They will occupy the home
of the Mesquiter editor during
our absence at Austin, and for
the present have a room there,
taking their meals out.

thian, sends us renewal for his
paper and also for his son. J.
Merton Jones, at San Benito.
Dr. Jones has not been away
long, but Merton has be~n
gone a good many years, but

retains enough interest in his
former home to appreciate the
Mesquiter. And we'll venture
it is a long time l»efore Dr.
Jones, himself, so far forgets
his friends here that he will
