Final performances include matinee
The final performances of "What
the Butler Saw," an adult comedy
playing at the Port Aransas Com-
munity Theater, will be presented
this weekend.
The play will be performed tonight,
Thursday, Jan. 18, through Sunday,
Jan. 21. Evening performances to-
day through Saturday start at 7:30
p.m. Sunday's performance will be
a matinee starting at 2:30 p.m.
The play is appropriate for theater
patrons over the age of 13.
Tickets are $15 and are on sale at
both Port Aransas Chamber of Com-
merce locations, 403 W. Cotter and at
the PACT theater, the corner of State
Hwy. 361 and Sea Isle Drive. Tickets
also may be purchased, observations
made, by calling (361) 749-6036.
The setting is the psychiatric clinic
genda
of Dr. Prentice, who is interviewing
Geraldine Barclay for a secretarial
position. He sends her behind a
curtain to undress, but Mrs. Prentice
enters and finds her husband holding
Geraldine's dress. Mrs. Prentice is
returning from an "encounter" with
a hotel pageboy, Nicholas, who has
taken her dress and is blackmailing
her with photos taken of the tryst.
Enter Police Sergeant Match who is
looking for Nicholas, and Dr. Ranee,
a representative of Her Majesty, The
Queen, who has arrived to inspect the
clinic. The plot continues to build
to an outrageous conclusion, as the
characters change clothes, identities
and hurl one-liners at each other at
lightening speed.
