714th REPORTS
Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hellcat!
Welcome to the year 1967, may it
bring to you and yours all that is
good in the way of health, hap-
piness and prosperity. All is well
here in the Empire State. We're
looking forward to August and
Detroit with keen anticipation.
Sure will be good to see the gang
again. Let's all start making plans
now for making this the biggest
and best reunion of them all. One
way to help assure a good attend-
ance for the 714th is to secure a
new member or two. Contact those
old buddies. Bring them up to date
on the latest events of interest.
Let them know what they're miss-
ing by not belonging to our assoc-
iation. Get them out to Detroit and
the fine fellowship, the friendly
atmosphere and the feeing of be-
longing will do the rest. But most
important of all is for you to plan
on attending yourself.
This report is being prepared
on December 13th, 1966 and just
got enough time to make the dead-
line. So by the time you read it,
Christmas and New Years will be
just memories. Pleasant ones, I
hope. However, right now, I am
happy to report that we have
received cards from: The Goads,
(Bill, Berny, and Gail) The
Lucas', (Bill Doris, Marilyn and
Lana) and from Reunion Hdq. in
Detroit, Bibby and Charlie Quici.
As of this report, the 714th
stands second to the 134th in paid
up membership, SECOND, this will
never do. We were never second
for long so I feel it is time to
start the big push. With 78 paid
as of ths date and 52 delinquent,
we have a possible 130 plus all
these former members of the
714th who could and should boost
our membership to even greater
heights. By the time this report
goes to press, I hope to have a
mailing out to all delinquents as
well as many other potential mem-
bers. With just a little effort on
my part and with the cooperation
of YOU, the real representatives
of the 714th, We can and will
show the way. HOW ABOUT
THAT??
Along with thanks for the
beautiful cards that we've re-
ceived, I would like to send special
thanks to the Goads for enclosing
the snapshot of some "Hi-jinks at
the Chicago-Sheraton, AFTER
HOURS." Both Jo and I enjoyed
it very much, Berny IF And just
to clue our readers a little, this
picture showed a lovely bundle of
female charm sliding down a
bannister. Such an expression of
joy on her face! It was just plain
fun, fun, fun!!! Not wanting to
embarrass the lovely lady with
her escapade, we will only ment-
ion her initials here, as Z. J. The
Goads informed us that it is very
queit at their house now that Gail
has left for the Unversity of Illi-
nois. Wish we could say the same
here. Lisa will be a year old the
29th and is at the stage of ab-
solute terrorism right now. Goes
around the house yelling, "yeah,
yeah, yeah," and is into every-
thing she can get her hands on.
Man, for some of those quiet Sat-
urday nights when we only had a
small group of 20 or 30 people
in for a few nice drinks!! But we
love every minute of it.
Due to the rush of the seasonal
activities 1 suppose, I just don't
seem to have much in the way of
news. Well, they say that no news
is good news. Let's hope so.
Note to the Printer: Sorry about
that, Chief. That's the way we do
it back here so naturally assumed
you wanted it the same way. Glad
to oblige you in any way, just
let me know what you want and
will do my best.
Wishing the best of luck to
those who attend the Mid-Winter
meeting in Detroit and to those
who attend the Midwest Chapter
Reunion in Illinois. I'll close with
a promise to have a full report on
new members for the next HELL-
CAT NEWS.

714th Adds
New Member
This little lady is Lisa Jodie
Golden, newly adopted daughter
of Dave and Jo Golden, unit re-
presentative of the 714th. This
blue eyed, red haired charmer will
knock some of the junior Hellcats
cold at the 1982 reunion. Lisa
was just one year old December
29th.

So. Austin, Tulia, Texas 79088:
It sure was great seeing the gang
again at the Chicago reunion. I
have but one wish for the New
Year and that's "Viva la Reun-
ion!" After making my first re-
union, years ago, I can t imagine
what could be serious enough to
keep me away.
