The meeting was called to order by President Sheehan at 10:30 A. M.

ans, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, made the report of nominations for the following offic-
es:
President Vice-President Treasurer
Wesley Gardiner William Hawkins Robert Seymour
John Sheehan

Elections were then held, by ballot, in the order of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer..
The following officers were elected.
President - John Sheehan
Vice-President - William Hawkins
Treasurer - ^Villiam Comfort
Colonel J.H. Evans explained the situation regarding the office of Executive Secretary from the
time of John Collin's resignation in May until the present time. He further advised that John Shee
han had agreed to handle the office until such time as a person could be found to handle the duties.
The motion was made and seconded that John Sheehan would be authorized to find an individual
to take over as Executive Secretary as soon as possible.
The next order of business was the selection of the Convention site for 1951. A motion was
made and carried that this be deferred and the subject of the proper time of the year to hold the Con-
vention be discussed next.
Discussion of changing the time of the year to hold the Convention was held with the suggestion
that the Fourth of July weekend be considered, instead of the Labor Day weekend. The motion was
finally made and seconded, after considerable discussion, that the present time of Labor Day week-
end be continued.
The next order of business was the selection of the Convention site for 1951. The report was
made by William Hawkins, Chairman of this Committee, that the following cities had requested the
Convention: New Orleans, Omaha, Cincinnati and Detroit. A standing vote was taken which showed
that the cities of Cincinnati and Detroit carried the majority Of votes, but due to the closeness of
the vote, a motion was made and carried that a ballot vote be taken. Upon counting the votes, the.
voting was evenly divided between the two cities. It was then decided to have all those desiring to
hold the Convention in Cincinnati go to one side of the room, and those wishing to have it in Detroit
go to the other side of the room. Upon completion of this vote, the side of Cincinnati was selected
by a majority of four votes.
William V. Finn of Cincinnati was elected as Convention Chairman for the 1951 Reunion.
A motion was made from the floor that the time of the Banquet be changed from Sunday night to
Saturday night. After considerable discussion, the vote was taken and it was decided to continue the
Banquet as heretofore on Sunday night.
A report was made by Wesley Gardiner, Chairman of the Committee appointed by President
Sheehan to determine new ways to obtain additional members. It was suggested by this Committee,
that regional chapters be formed in key cities to cover areas in a radius of two hundred miles. In-
dividuals would volunteer to organize these chapters in the key cities that were chosen, the names
to be submitted to the Secretary.
It was further reported by this Committee that a double folded postal card be made up and sent
out by the above regional chapters. To solicit new members, this card would contain a return post -
card indicating the individual's desires. All postage, printing, etc., to be paid for by the Associa -
