A resolution was introduced by John R. Caldwell, Medical Detachment 23rd Tank Battalion
that the Association should prepare a roster of all the members of the Division that were known to
have been killed in action. It was pointed Out by Colonel J. H. Evans that this was impossible due
to the fact that the Department of the Army does not indicate definitely those that were killed in ac-
tion. After much discussion it was decided that the Association should keep only a record of those
that have absolutely been known to have been killed in action. This motion was carried and second-
ed.
The meeting adjourned at 12. 05 P. M.

Gen. Mark Clark has announced the assignment of Brig. Gen. Riley F. Ennis to the newly created
post of inspector of armor with the army field forces.
Hellcats who attended the convention were unanimous in praising the way Bill Hawkins handled the
arrangements. Mrs. Hawkins was on the job all day every day during the convention and she spent
a lot of time prior to the convention helping Bill with the biggest advance publicity job to date.

Convention Chairman Bill Finn V/92 has made arrangements for next year's convention at the Sinton
Hotel. The Hotel is holding 225 rooms, the ballroom and 2 meeting rooms for the Hellcats. The
First Armored and the 37th Inf. Div. will also meet in Cincinnatti on the same weekend.
Bill's efforts will be hampered somewhat as Uncle Sam
starting where he left off in 1945.
has beckoned and he is back at Ft.Knox
