RAYMOND RONNIE (Sv-
/17th), RR 1, Surrey, ND 58785,
died at age 67, in a hospital in
Eugene, OR, on May 19, 1985.
He had suffered a heart attack
after returning home from
Denver, CO, last August. Hospit-
alized, he improved somewhat,
but eventually had to undergo a
by-pass operation. Getting along
well, he decided this Spring to
take a bus trip to visit his sister
in Oregon, but arrived exhausted
and died two days later.
Born August 28, 1917, he was
reared on the family farm. Later,
that special prize. Thanks to
Bud and Art and also to Walt
Thompson for the money from
the previous two reunions. We're
going to pass a larger amount
on to the next committee.
We are assured that the 1986
reunion will be another fun
time. There are a pair of live
and interested couples to take
all activities in two. Don and
Marge Hering, Keshena, Wis.,
and Elmer and Anna Heini-
chen, West Allis, Wis. Plans are
again for the last week end of
April, 1986.
Thanks also goes to my wife
Betty, Howard and Irene Mur-
phy, Arvin and Doris Junger-
berg and to all others who
pitched in and helped make the
two days in the hospitality
room go off so smoothly. I do
especially want to thank our
12th Armd Division Executive
Secretary, Norb Bruemmer for
giving me a hand in compiling
a list of all those in attendance
by respective units. Many
thanks goes to all merchants
who contributed prizes and also
beverages and snacks for the
two days in the hospitality act-
ivities room.
Again thank you Hellcats and
Hellkittens for attending this
reunion and making it a suc-
cess that it was. (Editor's Note:
How could all this have come
about without the dedicated
efforts of the Chapter Chairman
and his committee and helpers?
Our thanks to you, Ray.) Its

HOWARD "POP" WALTON
(A/714th) died of lung cancer
on May 18, 1985 according to
notification sent by George G.
Moss to Unit Rep. Richard B.
Iverson (refer to the 714th
column in this issue).
Our friends of yore are here
no more. They have gone to
peaceful rest, leaving us to
ponder our time to follow. We
will miss them, as we as-
semble as a group of com-
rades, but they will always
be with us in spirit, for death
does not dim the memories of
what we went through to-
gether those many years ago.
