noted. Patrols running to front
lines report good progress is be-
ing made by front line units.
FEB. 25 to 28, 1945 - Co. re-
mains on recon screen.
MAR. 1, 1945 - Co. moved via
motor convoy to Cities-des-
Charbomuages. Bn. billet in
same area.
MAR. 2 to 7, 1945 - Co. fol-
lowed training schedule. Passes
to Paris, Nancy, and Brussels,
available in limited number.
Men slightly wounded in Her-
rlisheim continue to return to
duty in small groups. 1 Sgt
Nixon received word that Capt.
Beach is in 2nd Rept. Depot.
Capt Beach returns to duty and
assumed command of Co. Capt.
Gagliardi transferred to Bn.
staff as S-3.
MAR. 7 to 15, 1945 - No
changes. Passes continue and
more men return to duty. S/Sgt
DeWitt and Williams commis-
sioned. Lt. DeWitt is now A.T.
platoon leader and Lt. Williams
is transferred to Co. C. 17th
AIB. lSgt Nixon now platoon
Sgt of A. T. platoon. Cpl. Geiger
now S/Sgt and acting 1st Sgt.
MAR. 16, 1945 - Co. alerted
to move and informed that the
next objective is the Rhine
River.
MAR. 17, 1945 - Co. moved
via motor convoy to Elzayone,
France arriving at 11:07.
MAR. 18, 1945 - Moved out
about 01:30 to Baumhulder,
France. Bn. now with CCB.
CCB now consists of task force
Fields and Norton. This Co.
now with task force Fields
which consists of A, B, D, Hqds,
and Service Co. 56th AIB. B
