about our great Hellcat Associ-
ation, and all it means to us, I
can't think of a better way to
spend $10.00. That's pretty
reasonable these days.
Bob Beeman, 17th A.I.B.,
tells me that Phil Mauger's
wife, Charlina, is in the same
nursing home where Phil resid-
ed. Anyone wanting to write to
Charlina can reach her at Tates
Creek Health Care Center, 3576
Pimlico Parkway, Lexington,
Kentucky, 40502. I'm sure she
will appreciate hearing from
those of you who knew Phil.
Bob and Joan Saehloff are
enjoying themselves making
local trips in the Kingston, New
York area. They recently had
lunch at the Hotel Thayer at
West Point and then stopped in
Newburgh to see Frank Shee-
han at his insurance office.
Frank was not in, but his
daughter, Barbara, who works
in his office, passed along their
greetings. They also visited
with Fred and Isabella Erich-
sen in Poughkeepsie and had
dinner with them. In addition,
Joan and Bob attended a cele-
bration given in honor of Frank
Argulewicz of the 56th A.I.B.
They had a good time and sent
the details with a picture to
Marvel Rowland, 56th Unit
Representative. Bob says it
was a very touching affair to a
worthy recipient.
Latest membership figures
show a total of 176 in the 495th.
That's still a strong number
and hope we stay that way in
the next few years.
Next month's column should
contain some news from the
reunion. Nothing more to report
at this time, so keep writing
and keep the Hellcat spirit
alive.
