Treasurer's Comments Re: Treasurer's Annual Report
Continuing the practice initiated in our preceding year, below is a presentation
which more factually delineates operating results for the year than does the
cash-receipts-and-disbursements format of the annual report. The cash-receipts-and-
disbursements method of accounting does not take into account the effect of items
which essentially are not intrinsic to operations, and of deferred income items. The
following presentation does give consideration to such items, by excluding them from
transactions or by adjusting for them.
Total Receipts - see Report $59,717
Less, Extrinsic Items:
35th Reunion $ 6,930
36th Reunion 20,620
Sales of Reunions' Leftover Merchandise 413
Commissions on Hellcat Accessories 618
Interest on Reserve Fund 2,386
Receipts for Patton Museum 460 (31,407)
Less, Adjustment for Deferred Income:
Prepaid dues at 6/30/81 3,802
Prepaid dues at 6/30/82 5,289 ( 1,687)
Regular Operating Income $26,623
Total Disbursements - see Report $58,334
Less, Extrinsic Items:
35th Reunion 23,151
36th Reunion 5,948
Remittances to Patton Museum Fund 1,742
Refunds of Sales and of Dues 12 (30,853)
Regular Operating Expense $27,481
Summary
Income $26,823
Expense 27,481
Net Loss for the Year $ [8681
