Dear Mr. Dismukes:—I have
always been in love with Palacios
and her good people, and now
Pm more than ever, since they
have given me such a lovely,
comfortable wheel chair. It
takes Palacios people to do great
things, and I want to thank each
one through your good paper,
who had a part in this beautiful
present. Again I say to each
one, thank you, thank you.

S
FACT OF REAL CONSEQUENCE
Question "How Old It Man?" Shrink*
Before That of "How Old la
He Qolng to Be?"
Notwithstanding we have been
credibly informed that man is as old
as he feels, curious and disturbing
people, including scientists, will not
let the matter rest there.
They muddle up our minds and
annoy us greatly by plunging into
the matter over and over, goin,
back in prehistoric times so far tha:
they can't find man at all and are
driven to take up with monkeys in
order to bridge an imaginary gap,
or, rather, no gap at all; for they
acknowledge that the link that
would fill the gap is missing.
It is not of so much consequence,
either, how old man(is; the fa'ct that
he is not yet old enough to know bet-
ter is far more troublesome.
Personally, our greater internet Is
in how old man is going to be. Will
ho go on, generation after genera-
tion, until he has so woadrously de-
veloped his mentality that he will
know to a day when to take off his
winter flannels?
How old is manP Not very, we
guess.—St. Louis Globe-Democrat.
