Recent visitors in the L. E. Abra-
hamson home were Mrs. Abra-
hamson's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
C. E. Edwards of Monkstown. Join-
ing them Sunday were Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Westerholm, Mr. and
Mrs. H. A. Westerholm of Port
Lavaca and Mrs. C. M. Baber and
daughter of Galena Park.
Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Frankson
were Sunday afternoon callers in
the Monty Simpson home in Sea-
drift.
Billy Stuhrenberg, Harry and
Courtland Frankson were in San
Antonio the past week end on busi-
ness for Uncle Sam.
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Abrahamson
and E. B. Abrahamson spent the
week end in the Wm. Condie home
in San Antonio.
Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Frankson
joined Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Farmer
of Edna on a short trip Sunday
and Monday. They visited the
Alamo, the old Mission and Buck-
horn Museum in San Antonio, the
Cascade Caverns in Boerne and the
Aquarena in San Marcos and
thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Frankson
went to Round Rock Tuesday to at-
tend the annual meeting of the
Goetha Insurance group and visit
Mrs. Frankson's former home at
Lund, Texas.
Paul Harris and Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Harris and family visited in
the Charles Harris home several
days last week. On Saturday they
were joined by Mrs. Thelma Mar-

were Sunday dinner guests in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kainer
and Mrs. Minnie Cavallin. Mrs.
Ruth Hctchlcr and Gloria of El
Campo were also in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Farley visit-
ed Miss Thelma Kutach in Hous-
ton Sunday.
Keith Collins and his brother ac-
companied by Benny Farley have
returned to their home in Castro-
ville.
Johnnie Marie Novak of Palacios
is spending the week with her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. B. L.
Kutach.
Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Loff and
family attended the wedding of
Pamela Adams in Alvin last Sat-
urday. Enroute home they stopped
by LeTulle Park to partake of the
delicious barbecue given by the
4-H Club.
Sunday Mrs. Jane Kansas, Mrs.
Wilma Nickson, Mrs. Ida Smith
and granddaughter, Joyce, of New
Orleans were dinner guests at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Loff,
then all went swimming in Port
Comfort, accompanied by Johnny
Graham of San Antonio.
Arvid Loff was suits glad Louis
Heath stopped by and helped shin-
gle the Community Center, as he,
Edwin Dill, Ronnie and Punk
Cavallin were tired working in the
hot sun.
Cynthia Loff accompanied Mrs.
P. T. Sartwelle to Houston to take
organ lessons.
Kenneth Brandon is visiting his
sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs.
David Boiling, Jr. in College Sta-
tion.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Petersen and
Tammy, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Holt,
Chipper and Patti, and Carrol
Huffman spent several days last
week in New Braunfels. They were
joined there Wednesday night by
Mr. and Mi's. Sonny Brhlik who
had taken their two boys to their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam
Danner, in Shaw, Miss., where they
will spend a couple of weeks.

Sealed bids will be received and
opened at 8 p.m. August 8, 1M2
by the Board of Trustees of the
First Methodist Church of Palacios
lor the removal of one building as
follows:
The old parsonage located on lots
16, 17 and 18 of block 35 City of
Palacios, street address 303 John-
son Ave. Removal shall be com-
pleted within 15 days from the
date the contract is awarded.
Everything above the ground, with
the exception of water hydrants,
shrubs and trees shall be removed.
Utility lines shall be terminated
in accordance with the rules of the
utility agencies involved. The site
shall be left free of holes or debris
and acceptable to the owner of the
property on the date of completion
of removal.
All bids must be accompanied
by certified checks or money-or-
ders in the amount of ten percent
of the bid. Such checks or money-
orders will serve as performance
bonds and shall be returned upon
satisfactory clearance of the site.
Full payment of the bid price shall
be made upon the award of con-
tract. Checks or money-orders of
unsuccessful bidders will be re-
turned within twelve days after
the award of contract.
The Board of Trustees reserves
the right to reject any or all bids
and/or to accept such bid or bids
as they consider in the best inter-
ests of First Methodist Church
and the service of Christ.
