The following definitions of a cham-
monthly bulletin of the Dayton Cham-
ber of Commerce:—•
The chamber of commerce is the
voice of the city.
It reflects the ideals of the com-
munity.
It expresses the aspirations of the
people.
It gives direction to the aims cf the
citizenship.
It combines the efforts of those who
think in terms of helpfulness.
It reduces unorganized elements to
an organized unit.
It speaks in defense of the good
name of the city.
It defends the city against the tra-
ducer.
It is the spotlight that reveals ac-
tivities that are worthy.
It pleads in behalf of the voiceless.
It is the center of worthwhile en-
terprise.
It is the magnet that draws the out-
side world to your midst.
It is the clearing house of civic
pride.
It is the power house of progress.
It is the composite picture of a city
as its citizenship would have it.
