Notice To Bidders
The First Methodist Church of
Palaeios will sell to the best bid-
ders, four buildings, under the
terms and conditions indicated be-
low:
Building No. 1, known as the
Methodist Parsonage, is situated
on lots 16, 17 and 18 of block 35,
City of Palaeios with the address
of 303 Johnson Ave. This building
is to be removed from the premises
within sixty days after award of
contract to the successful bidder.
Building No. 2, known as the
Sanctuary of First Methodist
Church is situated on lots 7 and
8 of block 21, City of Palaeios,
street address Northeast corner of
Third Street and Lucas Ave. This
building is to be removed from
the premises within sixty days
after award of contract to the suc-
cessful bidder. The large bell in
the belfry remains the property of
First Methodist CharcTi. The suc-
cessful bidder, as a part of his
contract, shall carefully remove
said bell, lower it to the ground and
move it to a location on the prem-
ises as designated by the Board
of Trustees of the First Methodist
Church.
Building No. 3, known as the J.
C. Richards residence, is situated
on lots 9 and 10 of block 22,
City of Palaeios, street address
510 Third St. This building is to be
removed from the premises within
ten days after award of contract
to the successful bidder. Time is
of the essence in this contract. The
interior of the house may be seen
by appointment only. Telephone

Building No. 4, is the garage
on the J. C. Richards property at
510 Third St. This building is to
be removed within ten days after
award of contract to the successful
bidder.
Bids may be made on one or
more of these buildings. However,
each bid shall be made separate
from any other bid or bids. A
bank or Post Office money-order in
the amount of ten percent of the
bid price shall accompany each bid
as a performance bond. Said per-
formance bond, made payable to
The Board of Trustees, First
Methodist Church, will be return-
ed to the successful bidder within
five days after the satisfactory
completion of his bid contract. Said
performance bond shall hold The
First Methodist Church and its
representatives free from any dam-
age incident to the removal of said
building or buildings. Under this
guarantee the premises, in each
ease, shall, upon the completion
of the contract, be left smooth and
free from holes with all objects
other than trees, shrubs, water
hydrants and gas lines cleared to
ground level. All utility lines shall
be terminated in accordance with
the regulations of the utility com-
pany involved.
Sealed bids will be received by
the Board of Trustees, at the of-
fice of First Methodist Church in
Weimar Hall, 209 Lucas Ave. until
8:00 P. M. Friday, August 31st,
1962 at which time all bids will be
publicly opened Said Board of
Trustees reserves the right to re-
ject any or all bids, or to accept
such bid or bids as they consider
to be in the best interests of the
First Methodist Church and the
service of Christ.
