Seminole Bees Edge DC 14-13
(From The War Whoop)
By PEET CARTER
Seminole "B" Team edged by
the Denver City "B" eleven 14-13
Thursday night, October 2.
The "B" squad got things off
in a big way after the ball had
changed hands twice late in the
first quarter. They scored on a
pass play covering some fifty
yards from Robert Chancellor to
Billy Garvin. Chancellor kicked
the extra point, and the Braver
led 7-fi at the end of the fir.it
quarter.
A number of fumbles by both
teams occurred in the second
quarter, and the half ended at a
7-0 score in favor of the Braves.
Early in the third quarter, Jer-
ry Montgomery hurtled the Den-
ver City line and raced sixty
yards for another Brave touch-
down. Again the golden toe of
Chancellor split the upright and
the score stood 14-0 at the end of
the third quarter. The ponies
talked twice in the final period
as the Brave bench was cleared.
The Braves held one attempt to
run the extra point over by the
Ponies and came out on top,
14-13.
