Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Byron Swank
have announced the engage-
ment of their daughter, Patti,
to John Guerra.
The bride-elect was a
graduate of Albany High School
and received a degree from
McLennan Community College,
Waco, Texas. She is employed
by Corp of Engineers, Dallas,
Texas.
Parents of the prospective
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs.
Manuel Guerra, Moody, Texas.
Baby Shower
Mrs. Hugh Norman, Jr. was
honored with a baby shower on
Thursday, August 26, at 7:00
p.m., at the home of Mrs.
George Harvick.
A .buffet dinner was served
to the guests from a table
decorated in yellow and green
with accents of blue and pink.
After dinner was served, the
honoree opened her many
lovely gifts. Guests were then
served cake by the hostesses.
Hostesses were Mmes. Ken
McComas, Ellis Hise, Jarvis
Gardner and George Harvick.
A graduate of Moody High
School, Moody, Texas, he also
received a degree from Mc-
Lennan Community College,
Waco. He is employed by
Keaton Company, Dallas,
Texas.
A November 20 wedding is
planned at St. Francis Catholic
Church, Waco, Texas.

The Leo Hill family had a
reunion during the Labor Day
weekend at Hubbard Lake
home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ash.

Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met
in the home of Sonona Tienert
August 30 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to
order by the President, Sonona
Tienert. The Beta Sigma Phi
theme for 1976 - 1977 is
"Follow the Rainbow Road."
Programs for the coming year
were discussed.
It was decided that the Xi Pi
Lambda 1976 scholarship be
awarded to Jim Law. Jim is
enrolled at Texas Tech Univer-
sity at Lubbock.
NORTHSIDE BAPTIST
We had good services both
Sunday morning and evening.
One life was rededicated.
Prayer Meeting will be
Wednesday at 7 p.m., Thurs-
day morning at 9:30, the
Women's Bible Study will
begin.
Thursday night we will work
on the building. If there is any
one that would like to come
and be with us at this time,
you are welcome. Sunday will
be our day for our Regular
Sunday Dinner and from 2 until
4 there will be community
singjng. Come one come all and
join in the singing, any one
wanting to sing a special we
would be glad to have you.
