How to Prevent Pneu=
monia.
You are perhaps aware that
pneumonia always results from
a cold or from an attack of la
grippe. During the epidemic
of la grippe afew years ago
when so many cases resulted in
pneumonia, it was observed
that the attack was never fol-
lowed by that disease when
Chamberlain's Cough Remedy
was used. It counteracts any
tendency of a cold or la prippe
to result in that dangerous dis
ease. It is the best.remedy in
the world for bad colds and la
grippe. Every bottle warrant,

Senator Sebastian has intro-
duced a bill in the senate
which is destined - to revolu-
tionize the lighting business in
Texas which the star believes
to be a good measure. Under
the present law a man could
call another,a liar and not run
strong chances of getting his
head punched for the reason
that the average man in these
hard times would rather close
one eye to a liar than to punish
the offender with a threshing
and-thfen be hauled up in a jus-
tice court and made to pay hand
sornely for the privilege. Under
Mr. Sebastian's bill however
the passage of the "liar" just-
ifying all kinds of threshing
and if this becomes a law 'the
rule will change. Following is
a section of the bill: "When
the person assaulted or upon
whom battery was committed
shall have applied to the per-
son assaulting such vile and
abusive language as calling him
a liar, a thief or any other viie
epithet calculated to enrage
or to provoke a breach of the
peace or when the person as-
saulted is guilty of using insul-
ting words toward a female re-
lative of the party making the
assault. But in order to excuse
such an assault, or assault and
battery, the assault must have
been committed under the in-
fluence of sudden passion, rage
or resentment immediately and
at the time of such assault,
except when insulting Words or
conduct of the party- assaulted
are used toward a female re-
lative of the party making the
assault, but it must appear in
such event that the assault
took place immediately# upon
the happening of the"'insulting
conduct or the uttering of the
insulting words or so soon
threafter as the party making
the assault may meet the party
assaulted after having been in-
formed of such insults and such
language or insulting words or
conduct must have been the
direct and immediate provoca-
tion."
