The Led better Picket House,
located in the Bank Park in
downtown Albany, was one of
the first permanent houses built
in the area. It was once home to
William Henry Ledbetter, the
first Shackelford County judge,
and displays construction typi-
cal to that of the frontier region
The Georgia Monument is lo-
cated in the Bank Park adjacent
to the Picket House;
