couple will be married Friday,
Aug. 31, in St. Andrews Epis-
copal Church at flreckenridge.

elect's table, laid with white
Irish linen, wns a large white
papier macho bell with a clap-
per of white carnations nnd at
the top of the bell were bows
of maline with streamers that
extended down the center of
the table. On each side of the
bell was an arrangement of
v.hite carnations.

Anniversary at
Searsville Church
Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Sears
attended the 100th anniversary
of thn founding of Searsville
Baptist Church in Bosque
County Sunday. Mr. Scars'
grandfather, the late A. W.
Sears, was one of the found-
ers of the church, and they
met many relatives.
The Daily Waco News-
Tribune, in its Monday edition,
stated; "Four brothers who
came first to Bastrop and then
to Central Texas more than 100
years ago were J. L. Scars,
who farmed in liosipie County
and gave the land on which the
church was originally located
in 1852 nt llox Creek; A. W.
Sears, who organized the hank
in Valley Mills; Dr. John H.
Sears who became a physician
in Waco, and James Sears, who
had a pharmacy in Waco.
"Th" church had gatherings
every night last week with for-
mer pastors in charge."

The year-round home safe-
ty program inaugurated in

"As in 1901," Lone Star
Manager W. O. Weathers, said
here today, "this public serv-
ice program has as Its objec-
tive the saving of lives and
the prevention of home acci-
dents by teaching the individ-
ual how to detect and eliminate
home hazards."
Home accidents occur in
Texas at the rate of one every
16 seconds and a victim of
home accident dies every seven
hours, the Texas Safety Associ-
ation reports.
Newspaper advertlsem ents
and stories will tell how home
accidents occur and will sug-
gest methods of elimination of
these hazards to life and limb.
A free four-page pamphlet
on hom< safety may be obtnln-
ords of home accident deaths
and injuries in preceding years,
each pamphlet tells the num-
ber of home accident deaths
rind injuries expected to occur
during the ensuing month—
and tolN how these deaths and
injuries will occur nnd gives
the ages of the expected vic-
tims.
Two additional four - page
pamphlets tell of home hazards
fared by old and young family
members in the 65-and-over
and the four-and-under age
brackets. Hazard controls are
suggested in these pamphlets.
"We urge that every resident
of Albany obtain his copy of
each of these pamphlets. The
.information contained in each
of them may well save precious
lives."
Other materials include a list
of 20 suggestions for home
safety activities at the com-
munity level for use by club,
school, business, churrh and
neighborhood groups. Available
for club and other speakers is
a list of speech starters tailored
for talks of five to 30 minutes
