were then slaughtered
and judged in the carcass
competition on the muscle
to fat ratio.
Denise brought home
two trophies and $525 for
Grand Champion and $275
for Reserve Champion
pork carcass.
"It is very unusual for
the champion pig also to
be judged champion car-
cass," said county exten-
sion agent and 4-H spon-
sor Lawrence Winkler of
Denise's wins.
Bill Scott, superintend-
ent of the swine judging
at the fair said that it was
the "first time (he'd) seen
champion and reserve
champion carcass won by
the same individual."
Denise was assisted at
the show by her brother,
Lance.

ceived a rosette for her

we need everyone's help
to make it a success," ex

there are several ways in
which the public might as

1. Contact Tina Riley at
762 3743 if you or your
graduating class plan to
enter a float in the home

2. Contact Bettie Town

She explained that the

1963, and 1974. "We have
just a few names and ad-

near all we should have.
Also we have no names or
addresses for the classes
of 1980, 1982, and 1983. If
you should have an ad-
dress on some of these
classes, please contact me
as we are trying to update
our address file on each
person in Albany and out
of town," concluded Mrs.
Root.
The next ex-students,

Tuesday, September 25 at
the home of Carroll Root
on the Baird Highway. All
